Bauhaus at Blend

When you think of Bauhaus, you generally refer to the Weimar school that gave its name to one of the most influential current in architecture, design and art that ruled between the two world wars.

But yesterday, we were invited at Bahaus by Jennifer Beick Keller, the gorgeous blond amazon that manages this design firm representing some major brands such as Arper, Artemide, Artifort, Baccarat, Emeco, Flos, Herman Miller, Knoll, Moroso and Roll and Hill.IMG_3915

Located on the second floor of Blend Design megastore, Bahaus showcased for this special occasion some of its statement pieces  with the most spectacular one being a gigantic chromed pendulum supporting a crystal chandelier umbrella on one end and a leather sand bag on the other, the “Mary Poppins”. Jennifer told me that they were only five pieces of them on the market. Lucky few buyers…

Another beautiful piece by Baccarat was a clear, taupe and pale pink crystal chandelier that recalls the 19th century french boudoirs.

IMG_3927Contemporary Starck for Baccarat chandeliers and candle holders shared the space with  iconic design pieces that collectionist would die to have in their home. l personally think that this petite oval Saarinen side table will be very pretty next to our white Barcelona chair.
